There are over 30,000 boat slips and large marinas on Lake of the Ozarks to support the power and sail boats ranging in size from 16 to 60 feet.   The lake water is normally clear and deep with an average depth ranging from 60 to 100 feet in the main channel.   Whether you are cruising, drifting, water skiing, sailing or just swimming, the lake has plenty of room for all visitors. Fishing is very popular throughout the 1,100 miles of shoreline with over 200 fishing tournaments per year.  Crappie, largemouth bass, perch, white bass, catfish, walleye and stripers are the most populated fish ? though in the early spring the hunt for the strange looking spoonbill is a big sport.
